Every Sir Jacobs porcelain vessel is made by hand in our Johannesburg studio. Slip cast, fettled, fired to 1220°C. No two pieces are identical; subtle variation in surface and tone is the evidence of genuine craft, not a flaw to be corrected. What you receive has been made, not manufactured.

Olfactory notes

The composition.

Cypress Sky opens with green mandarin and pineapple lifted by bergamot, a bright, leafy freshness with just a hint of fruit. Cypress and violet form the heart, cool and green as shade under tall trees. Musk and cedarwood settle beneath, clean, dry and quietly composed.

I  ·  First spray

The opening

Green mandarin arrives first, leafy and bright, with pineapple adding a flash of fruit and bergamot keeping it crisp. The opening is fresh air with the sun in it.

II  ·  The heart

The heart of the scent

Cypress takes over, cool and resinous-green, with violet softening its edges. The brightness deepens into shade: still outdoors, now under the trees.

III  ·  The dry-down

The settle

Musk and cedarwood close the composition, clean, dry and composed. What remains is a quiet green woodiness: the sky through branches, worn lightly.
