The Maximus Collection
The largest pieces we make.
Our largest pieces, cast in chisel-textured porcelain at our Johannesburg studio. A one-litre diffuser with fifty-centimetre reeds, and a candle of nearly a kilo and a half. The diffuser comes in white and black, composed around Floral Bloom or Citrus Grove. The candle comes in white and amber — the white with raspberry, jasmine, caramel and musk; the amber with orange, lemon and a soft fruit note.
For her
Slow, considered, kept close.
For someone who notices things. Our most-loved pieces lean toward soft florals and warm woods — SON ROOS on a dressing table, FLORAL BLOOM by a bath, a hand cream within reach.

The vessels began in resin. It was not right.
The vessels began in resin. Stephan, drawing on a background in 3D design, printed and cast the early forms when no glass-blower in South Africa could supply what we wanted. The resin worked. It was not right.
One Saturday, Stephan found a second-hand kiln on Facebook Marketplace and taught himself slip-casting from a YouTube channel. The first vessels were rough. The first scents were uneven. Both got better.
