The fill and the refill
Your first fill and reeds are included. When the scent fades, the porcelain stays where it stands and only the fill is replaced: a 200 ml refill pours straight in.
Citrus Grove
Bergamot, Lemon & Cedarwood
Smell
Bright citrus over quiet wood. Bergamot and Lemon lift first; Cedarwood grounds the room beneath them.
In the room
A light, continuous presence rather than a burst. The reeds release the scent slowly, so the room reads fresh, never perfumed.
Floral Bloom
Freesia, Jasmine & Vanilla
Smell
Petals over warmth. Freesia and Jasmine open bright and white; Vanilla softens the room beneath them.
In the room
A light, continuous presence rather than a burst. The reeds release the scent slowly, so the room reads soft, never sweet.
Textured by nature
Every Sir Jacobs collection is drawn from textures that occur in nature. Each vessel carries an intricately detailed sculpture of that surface, visually striking and made to be interesting to the touch.
Nature, held still in porcelain.
Made by artisans
Every vessel is made by hand in our studio in Johannesburg, South Africa. Porcelain cannot be hurried: between every touch of the maker's hands, the clay asks for time.
Day 1
Casting
Porcelain slip is poured into the plaster mould, where the vessel takes its form and texture.
Day 2 to 3
Drying
Released from the mould, the vessel rests two full days, giving up its moisture slowly and evenly.
Day 4
Fettling
Every seam is refined by hand, then the vessel dries once more before the kiln.
Day 5
Firing
Fired to 1220 °C, then left a full day to cool inside the kiln.
Day 6
Polishing
Nature sets the pace.
Polished, quality checked and packaged. No two alike.
